As mentioned before, it has been a busy season for us at Beechbrae and we are beyond thrilled to announce that we have been granted funding from the Climate Challenge Fund.
This funding will last for a year and will enable Beechbrae to employ a full time Project Manager to:
Develop Beechbrae Community Garden
- Grow Vegetables & Fruit
- Sell local seasonal Veg & Fruit
Develop Blackridge Primary School’s growing spaces
- Grow Food
- Reduce food waste
- Compost food waste
- Create a wormery to use unavoidable food waste
This is such a brilliant opportunity for us and we are excited about the great things coming this year for Beechbrae and the wider community of Blackridge. The project will start in April 2015 and information about the vacancy is at www.beechbrae.co.uk/recruitment . Watch this space as the project grows and develops.
Just catching up on all this excitement!! So excited for you both in the success and growth of Beechbrae! Jeremy, Josie, and I will be in Scotland in early April – maybe we’ll get a chance to see each other!
